Day 2 Horses
The top lot of day 2 and the entire sale was a son of Robin Des Champs who was bought by MV Magnier for €250,000 from Redpender Stud, The three-year-old is out of multiple Gr.1 scorer Asian Maze and a very successful sire.
MV Magnier also bought a son of Flemensfirth from Redpender Stud for €100,000. He is out of an unraced Saddlers’ Hall half-sister to Splendour, who was a dual Gr.3 winning chaser and is also from the family of the Ladbroke Hurdle winner Atone.
Moanmore Stables sold a son of Network to trainer Jim Culloty for €140,000. He is out of a winning Royal Charter mare and her first foal won in France earlier this year over jumps.
Aiden Murphy bought a son of Shirocco for €140,000 from Mount Eaton Stud. He is the first foal out of a 4-times winning daughter of In The Wings.
Mount Eaton Stud also sold a son of Robin Des Champs to Aiden Murphy for €100,000. He is related to Harbour Pilot, a dual Cheltenham Gold Cup third.
Aiden Murphy also paid €120,000 for a son of Flemensfirth who is out of the winning La Fisarmonica who also produced Gr.1 Cheltenham Bumper winner Joe Cullen. He was sold by Busherstown.
Ballincurrig House Stud sold an Alhaarth gelding to Noel Meade for €97,000. He is a half-brother to the former Gr.1 Champion Hurdle winner Punjabi.
Henry de Bromhead bought a filly related to the Gr.1 Gold Cup winner Kicking King from Sunnyhill Stud for €100,000. She is also related to multiple Gr.2-placed Four Commanders.
Rossenarra Stud sold a three-year-old daughter of Presenting to Harry Fry for €75,000. She is out of the mare Brogella, who won over hurdles at Gr.2 and Gr.3 level as well as being placed in the Gr.1 Hatton’s Grace Hurdle.
Ross Doyle bought a son of High Chaparral for €88,000 from Fiona McStay. He is out of the Gr.2 winning chaser Glens Music, who has also produced Gr.1 winner Glens Melody, Gr.1-placed Quietly Fancied and Listed winner Ceol Rua.
