Day 1 Horses
The top lot of day 1 of the Summer Sale in France was Burford Belle, who was sold by Ecurie Prevost-Baratte to trainer Marc Pimbonnet for €120,000. The two-year-old filly is a daughter of Sinndar out of Listed winner Rainbow Dancing.
Willie Browne’s Mocklershill sold a two-year-old son of Oasis Dream out of the unraced mare Source Of Life to Laurent Benoit of Broadhurst Agency for €80,000. His dam has already produced two winners in Decorative and Irish maiden winner Regulation. He is also related to recent Royal Ascot winner Forgotten Voice.
Russell MacNabb bought a two-year-old colt from the new sire US Ranger from Ballycullen Stables for €80,000 and he is out of Listed winner Dynamous.
Another horse to go to Russell MacNabb was a two-year-old Dutch Art colt out of unraced mare Rotunda. He bought the colt from Mocklershill for €75,000. He is related to dual Gr.2 winner Spacious.
Ecurie d’Esque had a three-year-old store horse, Puisque Tu Paris and MacNabb also bought him for €60,000. He is by Derby second Walk In The Park and is out of the Flat and jumps placed Pierre Azuree.
Hubert Barbe bought two three-year-old stores for David Pipe. The first was Asteroide D’Albain who is by Dom Alco for €48,000 and Archange D’Irlande who is by Saint Des Saints for €52,000 from The Channel Consignment.
They also bought a King’s Theatre gelding called Chic Theatre, who is out of winning jumps mare La Reine Chic and is a full-sister to 13-time winner Le Roi Chic, including at Listed level and was placed in a Gr.3. They paid €66,000 for him.
David Powell’s Eurl du Chene bought a two-year-old Network store called Beguin D’Oudairies for €60,000. He is out of Hanebane and she has produced lots of winners.
