The Cheltenham Gold Cup is fast approaching, and the jockeys and trainers are getting primed for the 4 day horse racing extravaganza. The Festival kicks off on Tuesday 15th March, with the Gold Cup itself going off at 15.30pm on Friday 18th March. As ever with Cheltenham, the trainers are being tight lipped in the run up to the big race, with rumours abounding over which horses will be lining up come the off.

It's nearly time for the Cheltenham Festival once again. As is usually the case, the four-day affair's most prestigious races are already looking as if they'll be excellent contests. Many of last year's winners will defend their titles, and a host of exciting challengers will look to seize Cheltenham glory. Frankly, many of the biggest races are appearing quite difficult to predict! But with over a month to go before the festival is upon us, here's an early look at the favourites for the four main competitions.

Now that the new year has finally arrived, the horse racing calendar will be heating up soon. That's especially true given that the Cheltenham Festival is just around the corner. Slated to take place March 11-14, the annual festival will once again represent some of the finest and most significant racing events in the UK, and it could very well set the tone for much of the season to follow.
